About Our Church

richmond house of prayer | est. 1985

The Richmond House of Prayer, a Spirit-filled, non-denominational church in Richmond, KY, was pioneered in 1984 in the meeting room of a local bank. From there, the church moved to the back room of a carpet store, and saw God move, even from the humblest of beginnings. Again, the church grew and moved to the "little blue building" where God started to promote the ministry with dynamic revivals and miracles.

Following the leading of the Lord, they purchased 12 acres of Real Estate where the current sanctuary is located and have kept the vision God gave them from the start. The property now hosts the main sanctuary, youth sanctuary, kids blast program area, parsonage, and a complete daycare center.

It is the vision of the leadership to see a last-day outpouring of the Holy Ghost that has never before been experienced. Countless prophecies have placed RHOP right in the middle of an end-time revival. We're believing God to show his presence through signs, wonders, and miracles.

Anyone who visits RHOP should expect to be welcomed with open arms and the love of Christ, for it is through His love and grace that we are saved.

Core Values

As we grow through discipleship, we have five areas of focus we call "core values." These are five actions in which we believe all Christians should be participating.
Richmond House of Prayer Core Values- Pursue God Relentlessly

Pursue God Relentlessly

The goal of every Christian should be to have a close relationship with God. We believe that there is no limit to the depth of the love of God. As we continually pursue Him, there is always room to go deeper.
Richmond House of Prayer Core Values- Love Unconditionally

Love Unconditionally

Jesus showed us the ultimate act of love on the cross. Now it is our duty to show that love to EVERYONE- no matter what! In fact, Jesus instructs us in the New Covenant that love is commandment #1.
Richmond House of Prayer Core Values- Give Generously

Give Generously

For God so loved the world that He GAVE! What are we expected to give? First, our lives to God. Then, our time, gifts, talents, tithes, offering, and so much more. A Christian never says "that's enough."
Richmond House of Prayer Core Values- Serve Wholeheartedly

Serve Wholeheartedly

Jesus came to earth not as a ruler, but as a servant. As we live life in community with God and others, our main goal should be to serve. We also serve our church through volunteer opportunities that allow us to show God's love to our church and community.
Richmond House of Prayer Core Values- Grow Endlessly

Grow Endlessly

No one is finished growing. God is infinite; humans are finite. There is ALWAYS something we can learn. As we grow in our relationship and understanding with the Father, we should also grow personally in character, integrity, stewardship, knowledge, etc.

Our Mission

As we grow through discipleship, we have five areas of focus we call "core values." These are five actions in which we believe all Christians should be participating.
Our mission is two-fold:

"The Richmond House of Prayer exists as a place where our members minister to God and minister to others."

Definitions:
Minister- to serve someone or to meet his/her needs

Others- anyone with whom we may come into contact. Our neighbors, to use a Biblical term. This mainly includes, but is not limited to, Madison County residents and the members of our community.
